Who we are
Artha Business Services ("Artha", "we", "us") provides bookkeeping, payroll and CIPC company services from Cape Town, South Africa. Our Information Officer is Nadia, who you can reach at info@artha.co.za.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, business name, email address, phone number and the details you give us when you contact us.
- Clients: the business and financial records needed to do your bookkeeping, payroll or CIPC filings, such as bank statements, invoices, employee details for payroll and company details for CIPC.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To provide the services you have engaged us for.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We never sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing you haven't agreed to.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to do the work, such as your accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks), our email and document storage provider (Google Workspace), our website host, and, where you ask us to, SARS or CIPC. These providers keep your information secure and use it only to provide their services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you. Client records are kept for at least five years, as required by South African tax law, and then securely deleted.
How we protect it
Client information is stored in secure, password-protected systems with two-step sign-in, and only the people working on your books can access it.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@artha.co.za and we'll respond as soon as we can.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address only to send you Artha news and updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Website
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you send us a message through the contact form, your details are sent to us by email and stored securely by our website host.
